An Afternoon of Autumnal Aperitivi with Victoria Granof

We are thrilled to announce that Victoria Granof will be joining us in the kitchen to celebrate the release of her brand-new cookbook Sicily My Sweet: Love Notes to an Island, with Recipes for Cakes, Cookies, Puddings, and Preserves.

In the pages of her book, Victoria weaves a rich narrative of falling under Sicily’s spell, told with a beautiful nod to the complex history of the island and its crossroads of fascinating cultures. Victoria focuses on the past, present, and foreseeable future of Sicilian sweets and how they have been heavily influenced by the island’s many layers.

We invite you to bake-along with Victoria and The Upstate Table’s Rebecca Ffrench to make traditional Sicilian Cotognata (Quince Paste) with quince from Fishkill Farms (they’ve had an abundant season!), savory toasted fennel and olive oil taralli and marsala and fig taralli, and try your hand at shaping some marzipan.
